Built in Belfast in 1890, this 798-ton steel steam collier was bound for Dublin with a heavy cargo of coal when she tragically foundered during a massive storm in December 1902.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-path-to-node=\"6\"\u003eToday, she lies roughly 4km east of Howth Head, resting on her starboard side on a clean sandy seabed. While her upper superstructure has collapsed over the decades, the hull remains remarkably intact.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-path-to-node=\"7\"\u003eIt is an incredibly atmospheric dive. The massive boilers, engine machinery, and sections of the propeller shaft are all completely exposed, and mounds of her original coal cargo are still scattered across the seabed.
